Google Webmaster Tools Greasemonkey Script

Monday, March 12th, 2007

This Google Sitemaps Greasemonkey script is one of the coolest scripts I have seen in a long time. It is for your Google Sitmaps account and specifically your link reporting section. It displays Google Page Rank, Anchor Text, if the link isn’t found and Nofollow for all the links shown in your sitemap report.

Here is a screen shot from some of my links to 97th Floor

You will see a normal link is in Black with the PR and the Anchor Text.

Red is link is not found but it still shows pr so you can keep of track of those you may want to go back and get again.

Yellow has the same data as black but in Yellow with a strikethrough that is for the No Follow, what was cool is by doing this I found 2 blogs that have really high pr that are not adding no follow to their links. I rarely check blogs for that anymore as most are no following by default.

You need the Firefox greasemonkey addon to use it. Once you have it, go to the link above and click on install and it automatically adds it to your account. Login to Sitemaps and you have all the data instantly.

If they could make this work for Yahoo SiteExplorer I would be stoked as Google Sitemaps is still off on my links by a couple thousand and It would be nice to have a quick and dirty app for analyzing bl’s of competitors from anywhere, instead of always using my internal tools.

Google Your Honeymoon With Google Has to Stop

The Anatomy of a Rip Off Report Lawsuit

Since January we have successfully removed Rip Off Report 9 times for our different clientèle. I say 9 times as in 9 different search terms, like “Brand Name,” “Brand Name Product” etc… we now control 26 out of the first 30 pages for these clients and have filled the search results with information on awards and recognition they have received. Rip Off Report is on it’s way to the third page and we are going to make sure it never sees the light of day. To one of our clients this will mean a savings of over $600,000 a year as they have been loosing on average of $2,500 a day in sales. Another client upwards of $200,000 will be saved annually. Organic Listings with MSN Carry High Conversion Rates

Monday, March 5th, 2007

This is according to a client of mine in the home based business industry. Now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying that Google (or Yahoo!) organic listings don’t bring you quality traffic, or amazing conversion, I am just pointing out that a search engine that many would consider dead (as far as traffic goes) still can get your quality traffic that converts. Friends are the Single Most Powerful Aspect of Social Media

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

If your business still is not a part of the My Space social network, then where have you been the last couple of years?

If you are thinking that My Space is a place just for kids to hangout and get in trouble (or a place to upload your risque photos), you might be surprised to learn that about 1/2 of My Space users are 35 or older.  Are you a little more interested now?   As business owners start to learn about the power of social communities, they are starting to embrace sites like My Space with less caution, and preconceived notions. 97th Floor Clients Happy in 07 and So Are We

Thursday, March 1st, 2007

In Dec. 06 I was telling just about everyone I knew in search and out of search that there was something in the air for business in 07. It seemed everyone I talked to in and out of the Internet was preparing to ramp up and dominate in the new year. We were no exception, every year I get excited for the next because I know as time goes on more and more companies will see the necessity to invest serious money in online marketing and branding. It seems 2007 is living up to it’s expectations. (more…)
