97th Floor is hosting lunches for anyone who is feeling extra distance while social distancing.
We thank you for practicing social distancing during this time. We're all doing our part to fight the spread of COVID-19.
As we all engage in social distancing we noticed that many were feeling the weight of less human contact. 97th Floor wants to provide a way for people to connect with others. We are setting up remote lunches where we can get together and talk about things we love.
Everyone is welcome and encouraged to sign-up for a lunch.
How this works
Take a look below. Once you find a lunch you're interested in, sign-up. Once you sign up, we'll send you an email confirming your registration. That email will also have a calendar invite with the call-in details for what's sure to be a good conversation (no promises on the food).
Discuss sustainability through gardening, livestock, composting, and more.
More and more people are feeling a connection to the earth and acting on it. For many, that’s homesteading. If you like raised bed gardening, pasture-raised chickens, and composting kitchen scraps, then this is a lunch you’ll love.

Shakespeare’s not cute, the sonnets are way more messed up than you think.
In this lunch-n-learn you can sit back and listen to some lovely poetry about a few totally dysfunctional relationships. Some people are familiar with the fact that there are two subjects to the sonnets: the handsome young man and the dark lady. But what few people realize is that they all knew each other, and have a very unusual dynamic between them. By the end of this lunch you’ll never look at Shakespeare the same again.
